I published my first piece of writing at 12 years old in a kid’s education magazine. I will never forget the whirl of delight from seeing my block of words on the page. That block proved that I could make something good that would be shared with others. I have written thousands of blocks of text since then, but I have never lost the dizzying sensation that comes from when the writing works—and that it’s reaching an audience.

I’ve worn a lot of hats in my career as someone who’s passionate about communicating through written language. I love every aspect of words, words well-written, and clever wordsmithing. Any use of language that makes a difference to audiences—whether those audiences are consumers, donors, clients, businesses, readers, learners, or co-workers, I want to write it. From radio and tv spots to originating brand voice to blogs and short-/long-form articles, white papers, web copy, marketing sales blurbs … I’ve done it all.
